			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I havn&#8217;t written for the past few weeks mainly because of EPAT and the EOCs, I will be doing my editions every week now, and will be writting during the summer, now lets get to the poetry.</p>
<p>I picked this one from our Rookie Teacher of The Year, Lieutenant Commander(Ret.) Jeff Dyer, it is Lt. Com. Jeff Dyers&#8217; favorite quote by Theodore Roosevelt, it is a quote, but is known to be a poem as well.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles or where the doer of deeds could have done better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, because there is no effort without error or shortcoming, but who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends himself for a worthy cause; who, at the best, knows, in the end, the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.”- Theodore Roosevelt</p>
<p>Now with this quote/poem, the first part is farely easy to tell what is happening a person is being told how they could have done better, and what they were doing wrong, but Theodore Roosevelt says that the one person that is doing the most is the one getting out there and doing something about a problem not the one that is trying to correct the one that is going out of their way to do something they beleive in, the it says &#8220;&#8230;because there is no effort without error or shortcoming&#8230;and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly&#8230;&#8221; which means, even if you do make a mistake or two that doesn&#8217;t mean you have failed that means you can do better then the last time.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Milton HS Band received a very unique gift on Wednesday &#8212; a 1937 CG Conn Trumpet <span style="text-decoration: underline;">in excellent condition</span>!  This trumpet is 76 years old…I have checked the serial numbers.  It was donated by Capt.  Harold “Hal” Glasser. </p>
<p>Dr. Glasser is 90 years old and currently resides in Jacksonville with his wife Alma, but once lived in Pace.  From 1933 to 1939, he played bugle in the Boston Latin School Drum &amp; Bugle Corps.  In 1939, his father bought him the trumpet and arranged lessons for him from a member of the famous John Phillip Sousa Band!  Dr. Glasser didn’t play in college because World War II had started and he fought for our country in the Pacific as a member of the Marine Corps.  After the war, he went to dental school and became a Navy dentist while earning the position of captain, retiring after 32 years of service to our country.</p>
<p>The Milton HS Band is planning to display the 1937 trumpet, that we refer to as “Capt. Hal,” in a display case in our bandroom, and will use the instrument for playing “Taps” at the veteran events that we participate in each year (Veteran’s Day, Memorial Day, etc.) along with other patriotic events. </p>
<p>We are amazed at the design of the valve casings, water keys, and bottom valve caps (where you use a coin to loosen them).  Also the ornamental artwork on the instrument bell is very elaborate.      </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>May 1st, Milton honored it&#8217;s NJROTC Program with the award ceremony. It had many scholarships, a great speech from a special guest speaker, and was well maintained. Students had to be invited to it and checked by one of the Commanders of the program. Surprisingly, it did not have as many students show up as I thought their would be. Around a total of 40 were there to watch the ceremony but the room was full of parents watching their children achieve high standards or sponsors giving money and scholarships to people. The students were, mostly I add, well behaved. I might have talked a little to much I might add with some good friends their but other then that, everyone was giving their respect to our amazing students of the NJROTC Program.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For people that are wondering and asked me why I changed My editions to weekly is because I have two different editions I have to write and I can&#8217;t get all of both of them done in the thirty minutes I have so I changed both of them to weekly so wether you like one of them or both everyone gets something, but lets get to the poetry.</p>
<p>&#8220;Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.&#8221;                 </p>

<p>This is true for many things, but not only for a persons words, but also their actions as well. Some people don&#8217;t understand this so let me explain, Some people don&#8217;t have much in life so they try to make best with what they have so when someone else gives them something the person giving something sees it as just being nice, but the person getting the gift sees it as more because its someone else tring to help someone else that has not much to give, many would confuse this with charity, but some see it as something to get them through today. Think about it like this everyone cares for the people who are famous and wealthy, but then whos there for the people who need to be cared for these people that you would see all around you if you just looked. For some people see a thank you as common curtiousy some others would see it as something they earned or the fact that there are people out there that do care for them and are willing to help them.</p>

<p><strong></strong> <strong>                Milton High School&#8217;s Symphonic band went to Pensacola High School on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 4:00 pm; the concert band went Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:30 am.  The judges were Jim Knight, Steve Sims, and Ivan Wansley who graded the prepared music pieces;  Bill Thompson graded the sight reading.  Symphonic band&#8217;s director was Mr. Weaver; the concert band&#8217;s director was Mr. Shultz.  The symphonic  band score&#8217;s for &#8220;Bullets and Bayonets March&#8221; by John Phillip Sousa was excellent (2); &#8220;Ye Banks and Braes O&#8217;Bonnie Doon&#8221; by Percy Grainger was superior (1); &#8220;Third Suite&#8221; by Robert Jager was excellent(2); and in sight reading they made a superior(1) for an overall excellent.  The concert band scores for &#8220;Thunderer&#8221; by  John Phillip Sousa, Keith Brion and Loras Schissel was excelent(2); &#8220;Nettleton&#8221; by Johnnie Vinson was excelletn(2); &#8220;March of the Trolls&#8221; by  Edvard Grieg and Brian Beck was excellent(2); and the sight reading score was a superior (1) for an overall excellent.  </strong></p>

<p>What this means is that when faced with something such as a test, or even choirs, it&#8217;s always best to do them instead of trying to get yourself out of them because then it&#8217;s going to be easier and faster to get it done now instead of later.</p>

		<title>Craziness Everyone Can Relate To: Edition 3</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have been out for awhile,but like I said in my latest poetry editionI will be doing these edition less as well, Craziness Everyone Can Relate To will be a biweekly edition for now on.</p>
<p>We all know the times we have had bad grades, and the fact that for some reason you can&#8217;t pull them up. Try doing some of these to help, try toning out the noises you hear when your trying to work this will help you get more answers correct, don&#8217;t cheat because you never know if the person your cheating on even has the right answers and if you get caught it&#8217;s going to be a zero so whats the point, and before school try reading up on what your going to be most likely working on it will help you get a head start on the subject or topic.</p>
