 On Monday, March 7, 2011, two dozen brave MHS men traded their jock straps for heels and lip gloss.  Their motivation?  To win the coveted tiara and take home the title of winner of the 2o11 All Male Revue.  This year’s event was a huge success; the MHS auditorium was filled with a very entertained audience of well over 150 people.  “It was well worth the $5 I paid,” laughed Savanna Bradley. Jaybeettes hosted the All Male Revue contest; the annual event is a fundraiser for the club.  Ms. Dozier, Mr. Barnes, and last year’s winner Ben Nguyen served as judges for the evening. 

To kick off the event, contestants sauntered into the auditorium to the tune of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back”; some were wobbling on too-high heels, while others were awkwardly adjusting their newfound lady parts as they took the stage.  The first event was Casual Wear, when contestants introduced themselves to the crowd. Noteable performances were a Daisy Duke look-a-like, a trailer park diva, and a Marilyn Monroe wannabe.  There was also a Formal Wear competition, where the “ladies” really strutted their stuff in sequined gowns with plenty of padding in their tops. The highlight of the evening was the finale when the top seven contestants were asked a philosophical question, Miss America style. When asked what item he would want to have if he were stranded on a deserted island, Jovanta Johnson, a.k.a. Inta Manda Feelgood, replied in a high pitched girly voice, “Usher!  So we could dance the night away!”

First runner-up:  Justus Underwood

Second runner-up:  Jovanta Johnson

Third runner-up:  Harrison Kummer
